Time of Year: Evergreen (visible all year), with young silvery fiddleheads emerging in Spring

Attracts: Provides Winter cover near the ground for small animals and nesting material for birds.

Special Note: The Common Name refers not only to the Evergreen habit, but to the resemblance of the leaflets to Christmas stockings.
