Latin name: Chrysogonum virginianum

Bloom Time: Spring (March - June)

Location: Nature Trail; near the Last Overlook

Attracts: Bees, Butterflies; also Birds for seeds

Special Note: The Genus Name  is Greek for “golden joint” and may refer to the blossoms rising from the stem nodes. The Species Name is based on Virginia being the first recorded location for the plant.
