Common Name: Jack-in-the-Pulpit
Latin name: Arisaema triphyllum
Bloom Time: Spring (March - April)
Location: (1) To the right at the bottom of the first Bridge (2) Between the first and second Bridge.
Attracts: The fruits are eaten by Birds and Eastern Box Turtles.
Special Note: The flower structure consists of a spadix (Jack) which is an erect spike containing numerous flowers, and the sheath-like spathe (Pulpit) which encases the lower part of the spadix and then opens to form a hood over the top of the spadix.
