Latin Name: Eutrochium fistulosum

Bloom Time: Summer (July through September)

Location: Wildflower Garden; side opposite from the “Do Not Mow” sign; center

Attracts: Butterflies, Bees, Birds (seeds)

Special Note: (1) Another species of Joe Pye Weed looks similar, but has solid stems. (2) Joe Pye was a Native American herbalist who distributed the elixir of this plant to treat typhoid fever by inducing profuse sweating.
