Special Note: With both Lanceleaf Coreopsis and Threadleaf Coreopsis (also in the Garden), the Common and Latin names are based on the seeds resembling ticks.
The leaves of the two species differ, with Lanceleaf having wider leaves than the fern-like leaves of Threadleaf.
