STOKE’S ASTER

Common Name: Yellow-Flowered Stoke’s Aster

Latin name: Stokesia laevis ‘Mary Gregory'

Bloom Time: Summer (June, July)

Location: Lower Wildflower Garden;  on the side where  the “Do Not Mow” sign is located

Attracts: Bumblebees, Butterflies

Special Note: Most Stoke’s Asters have lavender-blue flowers. The Mary Gregory cultivar is unusual in that the flowers are a pale-yellow.
