Safety visits are being conducted for all Independent Living residences. They began Wednesday, May 10th and on August 23rd. Please see the schedule to know when the team will be visiting your apartment or cottage. All visits will occur on Wednesdays beginning at 10:00am. A team, consisting of Susan Thornton, IL, Ted Whalen, B&G, and Andrea Dowdy, RC, will visit your residence to check for safety concerns, including trip hazards, overloaded outlets, broken or damaged appliances, fire hazards, etc. Andrea Dowdy, the resident clinic nurse, will be accepting outdated or unwanted medications for disposal at the time of the visit.
You do not need to be present for the visit. If you are not home at the time of the visit, the team will leave a note stating we visited your residence along with any findings. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Susan Thornton in Resident Life at extension 3528.
