You can start with residents having a background similar to yours by searching for your vocation, high school, state, college, employer, or hobby

If you know first letter of last name - or full last name - use the ABC listing pages.
Search this site by clicking on the magnifying glass at the top right of any web page. This is the best way by using any search value including names - first, nickname, or last.
Don't know how to spell the last name - partial name or words may work.
Just want to browse for a picture or pictures and find a person that you know only by sight - use the photo indices. If, for example, the person seems new then choose the latest year. The photo index is done in year groups to make page loading faster especially for you that have slower Internet connections. You will generally have some idea of how recent a resident they are.

This means that many individuals can be found by searching by nickname, schools, university, employer, former residences, etc. Search on your university and you may find colleagues. (Note: If searching a particular school that has changed its name you may need to search both old and new names - e.g. VT and VPI )
If you went to E C Glass High School try a search for "Glass" and you might find some old classmates.
