Anny Bennett
Mr. Lamar Nix was born and reared in Jemison, Alabama. He served in the Army for several years and then attended Birmingham Southern College. He began his career with an iron company and lived in California and Texas before moving to Lynchburg. He retired from the Foundry where he was a financial officer. Mr. Nix has one daughter, Jenny, who lives in Idaho, and two grandchildren. He enjoys playing tennis, attending the opera, and music. He is a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Anny Bennett was born in La Rochelle, France and reared in Nice, France. She has one sister who lives in Richmond. She attended Liverpool College in England. Mrs. Bennett moved to the United States in 1956 and developed and taught language studies for children in Philadelphia. She worked as the chairman of the language program for approximately six years. While in Lynchburg, Mrs. Bennett taught in private schools and was a substitute teacher. She has three children and four grandchildren. Mrs. Bennett enjoys music, traveling, dance, and is a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
