Marion Kelly
Mr. George Kelly, husband, was born and reared in New York City and was one of nine children. Mr. Kelly attended City College in New York City and graduated with a degree in meteorology. He earned his master’s degree in climatology from the University of Maryland. Mr. Kelly was in the Air Force during World War II and served for ten years. He worked on an Air Force base in New Jersey and then moved to Boston to work for the federal government. He then took a job for Miter and worked for the government as a meteorologist. He worked for Miter for ten years and lived in Boston and Washington, D.C. and then formed his own company called Ecosystems, which he sold in the 1970s. He has one daughter who lives in Maryland.
Mrs. Kelly was born and reared in Richlands, Virginia and has one sister who lives in Bristol. She graduated from Mary Washington College with a degree in business. She taught school in Richlands before she began working for the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington D.C. She has three children and four grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Kelly have several unique and interesting hobbies and interests. They enjoy storytelling and traveling to conventions that teach storytelling techniques. They belong to a Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Kelly enjoys reading, studying French, knitting, and gardening. Mr. Kelly carves decoys and does book repair. Mr. Kelly died in 2019 in Westminster Canterbury.
