Marion Barksdale

Mrs. Barksdale was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. She attended Phillips Secretarial School and worked part time at John Simmon’s gift shop. She married Mr. William Barksdale, III in 1950. Mr. Barksdale was an investment banker. He passed away 13 years ago. 

Mrs. Barksdale has one son, one daughter, and four granddaughters. She enjoys needlepoint, playing bridge, and participating in water aerobics. She is a member of the Colonial Dames of Virginia and St. John’s Episcopal Church.
