Bets Hooss 

Bets was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised just outside D.C. She attended Randolph-Macon Woman's College earning her B.A. in Art History. She stayed at home to take care of the family. Once their children were grown, Bets went to work as a bank teller part time for several years. 

Bud and Bets met on a blind date during college and were married in 1953: Bud passed away in 2011. They have two sons, a daughter, and three grandchildren. Bets’s interests include art history, riding horses, birds, gardening, and reading. She has also been very involved at her church and is a member of the Lynchburg Bird Club. Bud and Bets are members of St. John’s Episcopal Church.
