Martha B. Strader

Martha was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. She attended local schools through high school. Following high school, she enrolled in a business course and then took a position with Western Union. Martha met her husband, Philip through a friend and they married in 1948. Philip was an investment banker until his retirement. He currently resides in HeathCare. Martha owned a floral business.

Martha, mother of three, has seven grandchildren. Martha has been a member of the Junior League, Lynchburg Historical Society, Lynchburg Women’s Club, Williams Home Board President, and the Oakwood Garden Club. Martha is an active member of First Presbyterian Church.
