John Pelissier

John was born and raised in Brignoles, France.  He did graduate work in agronomy in France and completed his PhD in Massachusetts.  John has worked in the private sector, the United Nations, and for the World Bank.  The Pelissiers were married for 61 years, and they have lived on four continents.  They have four children, three daughters and one son; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Pelissier passed away in 2010.

 John enjoys gardening, walking, church work, and classical music, and he is still active in Habitat for Humanity.  They were members of the St. Frances Catholic Church in Amherst.
