Jane was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She attended schools in Pennsylvania and Illinois and graduated from high school in Toledo, Ohio from Notre Dame Academy. Jane attended Seton Hill College for Women in Greensburg, PA where she received her B.A. She obtained a BLS and MLS from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and did further graduate studies in Art History and Management. She worked at nine different libraries throughout her career in four states and two Canadian provinces. Libraries included the Toledo Museum of Art, the University of Iowa, Smith College, Lynchburg Public Library where she was the first city librarian (1967-1974) and finally the National Museums of Canada. Jane retired from the University of Windsor in Windsor, ON in 2001and currently resides in Windsor.
Jane enjoys reading, writing, hiking, music, museums, theater, and travel.
