June Plunkett

Charlie and June were both born in Lynchburg, Virginia where they grew up and graduated from E.C. Glass High School.  

It wasn’t until after Charlie served in the Navy, graduated from Lynchburg College, and started working at B&W that he met June who was secretary for 35 engineers. They were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend and married six months later. 

June took some time off to raise their three daughters while Charlie continued to work there as a Project Manager and Quality Assurance. June came back to work at B&W after the girls were older and they both retired from there. After they retired they moved to Southport, North Carolina for ten years before returning to Lynchburg.  After coming to Westminster Canterbury, they were both very active in entertainment , prior to Charlie's death in July 2018.
