Patricia (Pat or Kiki) Kearns

Born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Pat earned an MA in Psychology from Fairfield University. Over the years, she has called New York City; Bermuda; a farm in Bridgewater, Connecticut; Gastonia, North Carolina; Nonington, UK; Norwalk, Connecticut; and Charlotte, North Carolina home.

Pat is a former Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist who maintained a private counseling practice for over thirty-five years.  In addition to her private practice, she spent two years as director of a residential treatment center in Nonington, UK, and many more years as coordinator of outpatient addiction services for agencies in Connecticut and North Carolina.  As a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, Pat ran the EAP Program at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut for 15 years before retiring to ­­­­­­­­­­Charlotte, North Carolina where she has resided for the past 13 years.

Two of Pat’s three children reside in Charlotte with half of her grandchildren– John Thomsen, wife Erica and two grandsons, and Bryant Thomsen, wife Amber and two granddaughters. Daughter Candace Caprise, husband Peter, three granddaughters and a grandson live here in Lynchburg.

You may meet Pat outside accompanied by Percy Jackson, her toy poodle, as they complete their 10,000 steps a day. Make sure you give them both a warm WC
