Bonnie was more than 2,000 miles from where she was born in Fry, Arizona when she met Bob in South Florida at Pompano Beach High School. Married in 1962, Bonnie and Bob resided in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Georgia and New Jersey before settling in Lynchburg in 1991.
Bob completed his associate degree from Palm Beach Community College in 1963. His 27-year career in long-range planning and financial and economic analysis with AT&T included moves to Atlanta and Flemington, New Jersey. Bob earned a BBA in 1969 from Georgia State University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1981 while Bonnie graduated from Hunterdon Central Nursing School in Flemington and began her career in nursing working for a doctor in the area. After moving to Lynchburg, Bonnie worked for an eye surgeon in the OR before retiring in 2005.
Bob and Bonnie love spending time with their family. Daughter Pamela Mudrick, husband Dennis and grandsons Matthew, James and Timothy live in New Jersey, and daughter Kelly Glinski, husband Jerry, granddaughters Sarah and Morgan, and grandson Jared live in Lynchburg.
A life-long learner, Bob pursued graduate studies at Iowa State University, University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, CIU Theological Seminary and Liberty University School of Divinity. Once settled in Lynchburg in 1991, Bob joined the Liberty University faculty from 1991 until he retired in 2012.
Members of Heritage Baptist Church since 1992, Bob and Bonnie are active in Bible studies and mentoring. Their mission work has taken them to South Korea, Brazil, China and Tanzania.
Bob and Bonnie share a love of the arts and they particularly enjoy attending concerts and plays. You might run into Bob on the golf course or taking in a sporting event, and you may have seen Bonnie in the Gift Shop at Lynchburg General Hospital where she is a volunteer.
