Nancy Wilson

Nancy Wilson comes to Westminster Canterbury from Peachtree City, Georgia, where she and her late husband Jim lived just down the street from their son and his family.

Nancy grew up in Arlington, Texas before leaving to study at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. After graduating, she moved to Dallas and became a flight attendant for Braniff Airlines, giving her the opportunity to see the world. When Nancy married husband Jim, airline regulations at the time prevented her from working as a flight attendant if married so she was forced to leave the career that she loved.

Daughter Pattie (who lives in Lynchburg) and son Lance soon followed. Nancy stayed at home to raise her family while Jim worked in the business side of the television industry.

The family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado for about four years where Nancy claims the family was able to do all the things you couldn’t do in Dallas, like skiing! A few years later they were back in Dallas where Nancy spent time working in the insurance and real estate industries.

A few years after their son Lance and his family moved to Peachtree City for his job as a pilot with Delta Airlines, Nancy and Jim made the move to Georgia. Enjoying the “golf cart community,” they participated in activities like walking and traveling. Involvement in their church, book clubs and serving on their HOA board kept them busy. Being close to Lance’s family enabled them to relish time spent with their three granddaughters to watch them grow.

Nancy says she’s had her eye on Westminster Canterbury for several years and decided that now was the time to make the move. She looks forward to living near her daughter, son-in-law and grandson and meeting her new neighbors.
