Richard Campbell

 I was born in Amherst County, Virginia in an area known as Monroe.  My parents were tenant farmers when I started my “Life Journey” in 1941.  I was educated in the county schools and graduated in 1958 from Amherst County High School.

 In 1961, I married my wife June (deceased 2018).  We have one son Mark and daughter-in-law Renee.

 My work career consists of a few efforts to earn a living on this “Journey”.  I worked in paper mills, sold insurance and real estate, law enforcement as a deputy sheriff and a driver with a package delivery company.  I retired in 2004.

 During retirement I became a “caregiver” for my parents (both deceased 2009) and my wife until she passed.

 I enjoy keeping life as simple as possible, because I am just a “Country Boy” following his heart!

 So, my “Life Journey” continues as I start living at WCL.
