Annual Deep Cleaning
Upon request by appointment only, housekeeping will do an annual cleaning at no extra charge. This includes cleaning baseboards, dusting pictures on the walls, cleaning blinds and ceiling fans, and vacuuming upholstered furniture.
Holiday Housekeeping Schedule
When a scheduled cleaning day falls on a recognized holiday, residents will be notified in advance as to their re-scheduled time for that week.
Special Cleaning Requests: interior windows, carpet and patio/balcony cleaning
Separate from annual deep clean, housekeeping will wash windows, clean carpeting, and clean your patio or balcony. If these services are needed more than once a year, services can be provided for a charge of $25 per hour. Other additional services are available, by appointment, for a charge of $25 per hour. These services include, but are not limited to, cleaning kitchen appliances, laundering bedspreads, and performing heavy vacuuming to include moving all furniture.
Trash Disposal
Trash will be removed from each residence during weekly cleaning. Trash is also emptied daily from the trash rooms. It is the responsibility of the apartment residents to take trash to the trash rooms in between cleanings. To minimize the disruption in the building, please use the trash chutes from 8:00AM until 8:00PM. Westminster Canterbury provides cottage residents with an outdoor trash can and has arranged for First Piedmont to collect trash every Monday.
Weekly Housekeeping
As per your Residence & Care Agreement, our routine housekeeping includes trash removal, cleaning of baths & kitchen, vacuuming all exposed carpet, changing of linens, and dusting. Personal items on tables and dressers must be removed by residents. In addition to your agreement, the housekeeper will routinely dry and damp mop floors and disinfect high-touch areas.
Please understand that the cleaning procedure has certain time parameters, with each style of unit being allotted a specified amount of cleaning time. Unless you tell us otherwise, housekeeping will clean your apartment at your scheduled time each week whether or not you are there. The cleaning of balcony furniture is the responsibility of residents.
