Many of us learn best by watching others sketch or paint. There are many excellent videos available for free on YouTube on the many different ways to draw, sketch, paint, select materials and tools, and apply different techniques. There are also many artists who provide online resources (blogs, guides, videos, etc.) for free or a fee through their own web sites. Then there are many subscription services that offer access to a whole array of video lessons. One you might find affordable and useful is SkillShare. Below you will find a list of other such services as well as a list of artists who provide learning opportunities either through their own sites or YouTube. If you would like to recommend an online resource you have found helpful, please share it with Bill to add to this list.
You will find hundreds and hundreds of very helpful videos on YouTube made available by very talented sketchers and painters, as well as commercial establishments such as Jerry's Artarama in North Carolina.
