The 11-member Health Support Committee serves to support Independent Living residents through medical education and communications. (Read about how the Health Support Committee came into being.)
Purpose: The Resident Health Support Committee serves to support independent living residents in sustaining their health and responding to medical situations that arise in their lives.
Goals:
Promote programs that have been developed by the Committee, such as My Medical Information, Care Partners, and Care Advocates.
Communicate vital information concerning the clinic, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing and promote the use of their services.
Provide familiarity about the available Resident Life and Wellness, Health Care, Assisted Living, and Westminster at Home services so that residents will be comfortable in transitioning when the need arises.
Publish medical tips consistent with the situations that residents currently face and maintain an indexed library on the Resident Website for future reference.

One of the primary purposes of the Health Support Committee is to share Health Tips with residents. You can find the archive of current and past health tip documents on the Health Tips page.
