Resident Dining Committee

The 9-member Dining Services Committee functions as the residents’ liaison with Dining Services. It relays suggestions for menu offerings, seasoning, and healthy-choice labeling, among other concerns such as food allergies. The Committee helps to maintain awareness of the condition of all aspects of the Dogwood Dining Room, the James River Grill and the Canterbury Cafe, as well as the Bridge Dining events, to assure the highest quality dining experience for residents. Typically, a non-member serves as recording secretary.

The Dinng Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Hume Room. Meetings are from 10 to 11 AM with a "listening session" beforehand from 9:45 to 10. Residents with questions or concerns are invited to come during the listening session.

Members serve for three years with three sitting members stepping down and three new members added each year.
